1 . Many man, many minds.
All people are different and so they prefer spending their free time in different ways.
Some of them go the parks, forests, to the country and enjoy the beauty of nature. Others like to
stay at home watching TV or reading books. There are people who are fond of cinema and
theatres, so they try to go there as often as possible.
As for me I prefer to spend my free time in different ways. I like to go in for sports, to
play football, basketball or volleyball with my friends. I like to watch TV, to listen to music and
play computer games. Also I like to go for a walk in the country and enjoy the beauty of nature.
And my way of spending free time is connected with my hobby. And my hobby is reading
books. I’d like to say that it’s hard to imagine our life without books. Books play such a great
role in the development of personality. They help as to forget our daily problems and to pretend
we travel to the past, future and to many different, wonderful places that we can’t visit in reality.
I am also sure that books are our good friends and teachers.
From them we get to know the life around as better, they teach as how to tell right from
wrong, to love our Motherland, to understand friendship, people’s feelings.
So, they teach us how to live. As for me I like to read different kinds of books…
2. My Hobby
Tastes differ. Different people like different things, different people have different
hobbies.
I go in for sports, I like to play tennis. I go to play tennis every day.
Many people go in for sports, they enjoy jogging, walking, swimming, skating, skiing, and
training themselves in clubs and different sections. Sport is very important part of our life.
Physical training is an important subject at school. Pupils play volleyball, football, basketball.
I have been playing tennis for 5 years. Tennis became very popular now. I take part in different
competitions.
To be in a good shape I'm jogging every morning and do my morning exercises.
Everyone should do all he can to stay healthy and choose the sport he is interested in.
I do not understand people who say that they like sport, but they only watch sport on TV.
If one goes in for sports he feels much better, looks much better, and sleeps much better.
Your physical appearance will change too. You will be slimmer and trimmer. And what is even
more important you will not get sick often.
Why do I go in for sports? Because I think that it is very important for a man to be strong
and well-built. Sport is not for weak, because, you have to learn how to lose, and it's not easy.
My favorite proverb says: "A sound mind in sound body".

I hope you are doing fine. Have you got any news to tell me? You asked me some question and I would like to answer them now. You asked for my opinion about being independent of my parents. I think one can hardly be independent when he or she is under 18. We don't have necessary skills and knowledge to live separately from our parents. Renting a room or a flat can also cost a lot and only our parents can pay for us. What about you? When do you plan to start living separately from your parents? As to leaving parents as soon I finish school, I think I could do it. If I enter a good university with good accomodation, living without my parents would be no problem. Though I think I would miss my home, especially during the first months. Many Russian students who study abroad miss their homes in the beginning. It is not easy to get used to another country and the language. And it can take a lot of time to understand traditions and customs of the new country. Have you ever studied abroad?
