Memory is a very important thing.  Losing memory can be a disaster.  Very many peoplel think that memory is always the same - good or bad.  In my opinion memory should be trained.  As years go by, memory can become worse.  I have some methods to keep my memory in good shape.  If I go shopping to buy some food for the next day and forget what to buy, I start thinking what I may need to cook dinner and what other food I need not to be hungry.  Another way not to forget what to buy is to do shopping in the same shop and in the same order.  For example I usually first buy bread, than fruit and vegetables, than meat.  The last thing I buy are chemical products and stationary.  Ironically we often subconsciuosly do certain things.  In this case going the same way in the shop makes us buy things automatically even without using our memory.  Unfortunately it does not always work the same way.  Learning a language or a math formula is more complicated.  Most often new words should just be learnt by heart.  But even here we can help ourselves. Sheets of paper with the things to be learnt  can be put anywhere  - on the walls, on the fridge, on the TV-set or computer.  The more often you see them , the better you remember them. We can also record the information and listen to it until we learn it.   I also think food can improve memory.  I often eat black chocolate with tea or coffee.  They say nuts are also good for your brain.  Yet food is of minor importance.  Practice makes perfect.  And don't be lazy.  Remember: hardly anything is more precious than knowlege. And to have good knowledge we must keep good memory!
