Nowadays you hardly find a person who hasn’t heard about the Internet. It has taken a strong place in our life and our minds. First Internet has been created for the needs of military. Within 20 years Internet has spread all over the world. Internet has been called the Great Web for a reason.
With the rapid development of technologies now almost every ordinary family has the access to the world’s global information. With the help of only one mouse click you can find yourself in the middle of global events. And due to the big quantity of web cameras around the world you also have an opportunity to travel without leaving your house. More and more persons now work in the Internet. A lot of people replace long queues in shops with online shopping where you can easily buy everything what you want with no efforts.
Here the question arises. Is Internet a Good or Evil? On the one hand in our life the convenience has gained an extremely importance. Our life is too fast and for the purpose to get accommodated to such huge speed people try to make life as easier as possible. You do not have to wait the end of the week to go shopping for example as you can easily buy all the things you need from the office or house. You can watch new films, read new books, play interesting games creating your own worlds there and communicate with friends. And all these things are possible to do without leaving house.
On the other hand such way of life brings us to rather sad statistics which shows that people have more and more difficulties while communicating with others with each coming day. We become alone. We dive into the virtual reality where to our thought we can do everything and thus we forget about the real world with people surrounding us. Let’s be real, alive and friendly again!
В настоящее время вы вряд ли найдете человека, который не слышал об Интернете. Он занял прочное место в нашей жизни и нашем сознании. Впервые Интернет был создан для нужд военных. В течение 20 лет Интернет распространился по всему миру. Интернет был назван Великой Сетью не без причины.
В связи с быстрым развитием технологий в настоящее время почти каждая обычная семья имеет доступ к глобальной информации в мире. С только одного щелчка мыши вы можете оказаться в середине глобальных событий. А в связи с большим количеством веб-камер по всему миру у вас также есть возможность путешествовать, не выходя из дома. Все больше и больше человек в настоящее время работают в Интернете. Много людей променяли длинные очереди в магазинах на интернет-магазины, где можно легко купить все, что вы хотите без каких-либо усилий .
Здесь возникает вопрос. Является ли Интернет добром или злом? С одной стороны в нашей жизни удобство приобрело чрезвычайно большое значение. Наша жизнь слишком быстра, и с целью при к такой огромной скорости люди пытаются сделать жизнь более простой, насколько это возможно. Вы не должны ждать до конца недели, чтобы ходить по магазинам, например, так как вы можете легко купить все , что вам нужно из офиса или дома. Вы можете смотреть новые фильмы, читать новые книги, играть в интересные игры, создавая свои собственные миры и общаться с друзьями. И все эти вещи можно делать, не выходя из дома.
С другой стороны такой образ жизни приводит нас к весьма печальной статистике, которая показывает, что люди имеют все больше и больше трудностей в общении с другими людьми с каждым новым днем. Мы становимся одиноки. Мы погружаемся в виртуальную реальность, где по нашему мнению мы можем делать все, и, таким образом, мы забываем о реальном мире с людьми, окружающими нас. Давайте быть реальными, живыми и доброжелательными снова!
The republic is situated on the Crimea peninsula. It is between the Black Sea in the west and south, and the Sea of Azov — in the east. In the east the Crimea is separated from Russia by the Kerch Strait.
The total area of the republic is 26 100 km2, population is 2 137 700. It is divided into 15 regions and 15 cities.
Symferopol is the administrative centre of the Crimea.
The Crimea consists of two very different parts — treeless steppe of the Crimean Lowland in the northern and central parts, and the Crimean Mountains in the south.
The Crimean steppe, with its continental climate and steppe soils, occupies four-fifths of the territory.
The Crimean Mountains consist of a narrow range of foothills and a low mountain chain covered with forests and high pastures. Below the mountains in the south there is a narrow coastal lowland — the Crimeansouthern shore — with a Mediterranian climate and vegetation.
The rivers are short and shallow. On the northern slopes of the Crimean Mountains we find the Chorna, the Belbek, the Kacha, the Alma, the Salhyr and other rivers. There are also salt lakes there, such as the Sasyk, the Aktash and others.
It is rich in natural resources, such as iron ore, natural gas, building materials, and salt from the lakes. Russians constitute 67.2 percent of the population, Ukrainians — 26.5 percent and there are 300 000 Tatars.
Food production is the Crimea’s main industry. Food industry produces canned goods, fish and wines. Agriculture mostly specializes in plant-growing, vine-growing and animal husbandry. It is followed by iron-ore mining, metallurgy and machine-building.
The main sea-ports are Kerch, Teodosia, Yalta, Sevastopol, and Yevpatoria. The Crimea is also the main resort and tourist area of Ukraine.
The artist I. Ayvazovsky and the polar explorer I. Papanin were born in the Crimea.
