В Past Simple (простое время) используются глаголы второй формы - Do → Did, Make → Made и т.д.

1) James lost his wallet on the bus.   [3 формы lose = lose - lost - lost] Джеймс потерял свой кошелек в автобусе.

2) Brian won the comptetition.   [3 формы win = win - won - won] Брайн выиграл соревнования.

3) Agatha Christie wrote over thirty novels.   [3 формы write = write - wrote - written] Агата Кристи написала более 30 романов.

4) After the men heard the noise, they hid behind some trees            [3 формы hear = hear - heard - heard] [3 формы hide = hide - hid - hidden] После того, как мужчины услышали шум, они спрятались за несколькими деревьями.

5) Did you feel that gust of wind? [В вопросах без вопросительных слов (what, who, when, where и т.д.) используется глагол "do". Вторая форма глагола "do" - did. Кстати после "did" глагол ставится в первой форме (did забирает вторую форму, поэтому глагол "feel" никак не меняется)] Ты почувствовал этот порыв ветра.

6) I did not manage to solve the puzzle.  [в отрицание ставится глагол did с not (не)] Я не смог решить этот пазл (головоломку).
