Compound nouns consist of two parts:
. noun + noun fish tank
-ing + noun + dining room, washing machine
adjective + noun + full moon, blackboard
Compound adjectives consist of two or more
words, usually joined together with a hyphen:
• adjective/noun/number + noun full-length,
part-time work, 10-week holiday
• adjective/adverb/noun + past participle
middle-aged, well-known, sun-dried raisins
