4 A tag question is a question we can add to the end of a statement. Look at the words in blue
in the dialogue. Then choose the correct words
in the rules.
1 The tense in the tag question is the same as /
different from the tense in the statement.
2 We use a positive / negative tag after
a negative statement and a positive /
negative tag after a positive statement.
You boasted you were good at geography... - That's right. I'm pretty good at it. Why? - Do you know what (the)Urals are? - I certainly do. It's a chain of mountains. - Are these mountains in Asia? - No. This range of mountains forms the boundary between(0) Europe and Asia. It runs across Russia, from the coast of (the) Arctic Ocean to(0) Kazakhstan. The mountains are not very high, but they are old and impressive. And what's the highest mountain on our planet? Do you know? Of course I do. It's(0) Everest, the mountain on the border between China and(0) Nepal, a country in South Asia.
