The McCallister family is preparing to spend Christmas in France. The youngest in the family named Kevin got into an argument with his older brother Buzz and was sent to his room which is on the third floor of the house. Then, the next morning, the rest of the family went to the airport in a hurry and completely forgot about Kevin. When Kevin finds out that he is home alone, he is glad at first, having a pizza all to himself, jumping on his parents' bed, and making a mess. Then, Kevin finds out that two burglars, Harry and Marv, are going to rob his house on Christmas Eve. Kevin makes a lot of traps to stop the burglars and his neighbour helps him to defeat them.
