А)this text tells how one theatre performance was divided into a number of shorter ones. б)this text tells how theatres were built in ancient times. в)this text describes the scenery used in the medieval theatre. г)this text says where the medieval theatre found a shelter. д)the text tells why the theatre passed into the hands of spectators. е)the text explains why the actors had to be on the move all the time. from the history of theatre 1)the earliest theatres we know about were in greece. they were simply flattened pieces of ground on a hillside. the audience sat in rows on the hill above so that they could all see the “stage”. the romans copied the greek pattern, but they built their theatres on flat ground. the rows of seats were held up not by a hillside but by a wall. 2)for a long time there were no theatre buildings (the first of them didn’t appear before the1500s). companies of actors travelled around using their carts as stages. later, the best of them began to perform in the houses of the rich and the powerful. others entertained the village folk and passed around a collecting cap. 3)in the meantime, the christian church realized that entertaining arts could be very useful and help the church to attract people. they had a great number of good stories from the bible, which were easily turned into bible plays. soon such plays spread through europe. the theatre used for these performances was, of course, the church itself. 4)church performances became so popular that they had to move out, first into the churchyard and then to the village greens and town squares. as a result, the church refused to be responsible for the performances. then common people, who wanted to keep their favourite entertainment, began to organize it themselves building stages on the greens and in the squares. 5)anyhow, there appeared problems with scene changes. finally, they began to build stages for separate scenes. the stages were built in a line or in a circle with the audience moving from one stage to the next. these stages became known as “houses”. eventually, the houses were put on wheels and dragged through the town.

Dear Mike,

How are you? I would like to tell you about my favourite day of week, I like

Sunday most of all .It is my day off.I get up later.I try not to do anything on this day. I like to go with friends to a park or cafe. My parents and I go often  to shopping center  or to the cinema. We try to watch all new films there.

In the evening we sometimes  order  pizza  and sit in front of TV.A full day of relaxation .

What is your favourite day and why?

Best wishes. Nick
