Dear Jane,
I can’t say that I am fine. I have been here in London for two months now. The weather is nasty here. It has been raining since morning. I think it always rains here in spring. Anyway, it has rained every Saturday and Sunday since we came here two months ago. Besides it was foggy and windy and we stay home almost every weekend. And I felt unhap­ py and bored. Last Sunday the weather forecast promised fine weather, and we planned a sightseeing tour. But in the morning when I woke up it started pouring and it never stopped. I hope next Sunday it will be fine and sunny and I will be able to see something of London. When I have a chance to see the sights of London I will write a long letter to you.

Петр Первый родился 30 мая 1672 года. Когда Петр был ребенком, несколько учителей были наняты обучать его. Петр был заинтересован кораблями и кораблестроением. Он был высоким мужчиной, его рост составлял порядка 200 см. Он не имел покатых плеч, его руки и ноги были короткими. так же голова Петра была маленькой относительно его фигуры.По матери он женился. Его свадьба состоялась в 1689, а женой стала Евдокия Лопухина. В 1724 он женился второй раз на Екатерине. Петр имер 2 жен и 14 детей от них. Только 3 ребенка выжили. У него были проблемы с мочевым пузырем и мочевыводящими путями, но он был излечен. В ноябре 1724 Петр на Лахте был вынужден солдат, тонущих недалеко от берега. Это подорвало его здоровье и стало причиной смерти. Петр умер 8 февраля 1725.
