английский кто знает хорошо.Текст:The Wizard's Gifts After Dorothy threw a bucket of water at the evil witch and the witch melted, the flying monkeys brought the friends to the gates of the Emerald City.
The guard led Dorothy and her friends to the palace. The amazing news was delivered directly to the wizard. Dorothy was sure that he would call them at once. But no one called them.
The Scarecrow soon grew tired of waiting. He said that he had never trusted the wizard and sent him the following message:”Let us in now or we'll call the flying monkeys." The door to the throne room opened for them. Four travelers entered, expecting to see a giant head. But to their surprise, the room was completely empty. Then a voice spoke high above them.
"I am Oz, the great and terrible," said the voice. — What do you want?"
"The wicked witch is dead," Dorothy said proudly. — You must keep your promise.
"But this is so unexpected," the voice said. "Come back tomorrow. Or the next day.
— You've already had enough time! The tin woodman said angrily.
"Keep your promise!" Dorothy said, stamping her foot. Toto immediately started barking at the screen in the corner of the room. He pushed it, and it fell. Behind the screen was a small old man.
The tin woodman raised his axe.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Oz," said a small old man with a confused face. "Great and terrible. Please, please don't touch me!
— Aren't you a wizard?" Dorothy asked.
"I'm sorry, my dear," said the old man. — But I'm just an ordinary person.
"You're bigger than that!" — Stop it! " shouted the Scarecrow. — You're a big con artist!
"But I don't understand," said Dorothy. — What about the head and the fireball and the voice?"
"Simple magic tricks," said the wizard.
"You should be ashamed of yourself! The scarecrow said.
"Oh, I'm ashamed! Really embarrassing! the wizard said. — But you see, it was all I could do. And the wizard began his story:
— I was born in a distant city called Omaha.
