Когда ты красишь волосы в неестественный цвет, люди думают, что ты так пытаешься привлечь к себе внимание и они могут оставить комментарий.

Так в первые два дня, когда я стала рыжей, несколько незнакомцев  не стеснялись говорить мне, что они "ненавидят цвет" и очарованные дети окружали меня с криками "Смотрите - это панк".

И наконец мне запретили сдавать экзамены, потому что я покрасила волосы в ярко-рыжий цвет.

Мой опыт показал как наши социальные установки изменились с конца 1970-х и до расцвета панка Могикан. Меня называли "бунтаркой" и "выходящей из нормы".
