The sun was setting over the horizon . The last of the tourists left Trafalgar Square in central London , returning to their hotels with their families. The area took a terrible emptiness. Pigeons flew in nearby windowsills to roost for the night and a monument to Lord Nelson , sitting on top, standing alone . The only noise that could be heard was the spray of the fountain , like drops of water fell into the pool below. Four bronze lions that sit on the monument , protecting Lord Nelson , were now alone. There were no more children climbing all over them . Do not have a camera flash. It was quiet .
