On Friday it was raining the whole morning and we decided to go to Madame Tussauds. When we got to the museum it was already 11 am. From 11 to 12.30 we were standing in line for tickets. For the next two hours we were going from room to room and watching the wax models of famous people. While I was taking a photo of Michael Jackson, my friend said,''I want a photo with Michael Jackson'' .During our excursions I could hear from different rooms, ''I want a photo with Beckham , I want a photo with Leonardo Di Caprio. Look! I want a photo with the Queen! ''The models were great and we had a great time at the museum. We got to the hotel at 3.

Taras Shevchenko, a famous Ukrainian poet, writer and artist, painted this portrait in 1843. In the painting we can see a young woman in a dark blue dress.

The first thing that attracts our attention is Hanna's dark eyes. The artist used black and blue colours to depict them, and the woman's dress seems to match her eye colour. Her eyes look sad, as if she has a secret that cannot be told to anybody.

Shevchenko masterfully depicted Hanna's face and shoulders, and the shadows on them. Her hair looks very realistic. At the same time there is something about this portrait that resembles icons.

The colours in the portrait are harmonious and smooth. The background is subdued, painted with soft brush strokes, so nothing distracts the viewer from Hanna's face.

Тарас Шевченко, известный украинский поэт, писатель и художник, написал этот портрет в 1843 году. На картине мы видим молодую женщину в темно-синем платье.
