My friend Molly lives in London. Last December she invited me to her country to celebrate Christmas . I was happy to go there because I didn’t know how the English celebrate this holiday. First of all I helped Molly to make Christmas Cards and to decorate the Christmas tree. We prepared stockings for present and put them near our beds. Molly’s mother cooked the traditional Christmas dinner. For Christmas dinner the English always have a roast turkey, some vegetables and a pudding. Molly’s mother show me how to cook Christmas pudding. It was very tasty. I was happy to celebrate Christmas with my friend. Before dinner everybody opened the presents. I got a nice doll for my collection and Molly got a dress.

"Кто это?" - спросил сын Бафкинсов Генри.
"Это твой отец" - сказала миссис Бафкинс.

"Это Сьюзи," - сказала миссис Бафкинс.
- Где она?
- Она вышла замуж год назад, в то время, когда ты смотрел Мировые Серии.
"Как насчет этого?" - сказал Бафкинс, довольно, - "вы знаете, я надеюсь, что они не закрепят антенну ещё пару часов. Не существует ничего лучшего, чем затемнения для человека."

There were few people at the stop: on Sunday people don't like to get up at sunrise. The bus arrived at the stop in ten minutes. We got on the bus to go to the railway station. In half an hour we were already there. At the railway station we met our friends on the platform. In an hour we were already in the country. We went to the woods. It was hot, but when we went into the woods, it became cool. We spent the whole day in the country and returned to town at sunset.
