I have seen graffiti in my town. It is mostly tags but there are murals as well. There are some authorised mural walls nearby.
I don't think graffiti always make our town look worse. Sometimes artists draw really beautiful stuff with some important message.
In my opinion graffiti is usually art but not always. In some cases it can be called vandalism. I mean all those ugly tags left in inappropriate places. For example I wouldn't welcome graffiti on the wall of my house.
As far as I know graffiti is illegal in Belarus. You need to have a special permission to graffiti and you only ought to do it on authorised walls. I don't think graffiti should be banned. Buildings and fences can look so much nicer with graffiti on them.
I have never graffitied but I would like to try. I think it's easy - all I need is a few cans of spray paint.
If I were taking part in a street art exhibition, I would probably choose the theme of environmental protection.
