She was born 16 Dec 1928 in Semipalatinsk (now Semey in East Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan). Grew up in a family where often there was music — my father loved to play the violin, his mother-a Tatar sang well. In 1937 my father was arrested in Katon-Karagay and it's gone forever. In 1946, while studying at the seventh grade of the evening school, went to work at the meat plant, where he was able to sing in the circle of Amateur. The young singer drew the attention of the writer Galina Serebryakova, who was in Semipalatinsk in the link. She took over Tulegenova care, gave her first music lessons. At the insistence Serebryakova, who entered the vocal-choral faculty of the Kazakh Conservatory in Almaty, from which he graduated in 1954 (teacher N. N. Samyshina).
