The operation of trains. To simplify the problem of running trains all railroads are divided into divisions. A division may be three or four hundred miles long or it may be thirty or forty miles long. Each division is operated as a small railroad. The train with a long run may change locomotives and crews several times before it arrives at the station of its destination. Each railroad has regular trains and extra trains. A regular train is a train running according to time-table. Regular trains have definite times of leaving and definite times for arrival at the station where they complete their run. Extra trains are not common on our railroads. They are usually work trains ТВ wreck trains.
"Is everything all right?" "Mrs Troy has gone." "Where?" "She (did not say). I (helped) her down with the bags. Oh, and she (left) you this,"" The housekeeper gave her a letter. "Darling, I (am) sorry not to be here to say goodbye but I (am) sure you will be quite pleased to have me gone out of your house at last. What an angel you (are). I can never thank you or Jan enough. I (have left) a little present to Jan. Let's meet soon and I'll tell you all about everything. All love. Virginia." "Did she ( leave) anything else, Mrs Bristow?" "Just two books. They (are) upstairs." "Mrs Troy (left) no address?" "She (has not gone) far. I (did not catch) what she (said) to the taxi-driver but it (was not ) a railway station." The mystery was soon solved... Jan ( telephoned). "Good news," he said. "We (have got) rid of Virginia" "I know." "For good. She (is) a sensible woman. She has just done what I said she should—she (has found) a husband.'"
