Like most people, I know that recycling is good(1) for the environment. When I throw plastic, paper, metal or glass (2) away I always put it in the recycling box. I (3) don't put it in the rubbish bin. These days I'm interested (4) in upcycling too. That's when you take things that people don't want  and make them useful again.  (5) There's a shop in my town called 'The Green House'. It sells lots (6) of fantastic upcycled furniture.

(7) The woman, who owns the shop upcycles old chairs.

She paints them in different colours and they look amazing.

I try (8) to upcycle clothes when I can. I make T-shirts from old long-sleeved tops, for example, and I'm good (9) at using old jumpers to make scarves. At the moment my friend and I (10) are making a pair of trousers from an old Indian skirt.
