May Day on May 1st is International day of all workers. 25-30 years ago this holiday was celebrated with parades and songs on the streets, now we just walk on street with flowers and congratulate each other. Officialy we have two free days - on 1st and 2nd of May. 2. The 1st of April or Laughing Day or Day of Fools is not official but very popular holiday. Everybody joke on each other on this day, and it's fun. 3. The 8th of March or Women's Day - the International holiday of all women. Men are greating all women with gifts and flowers. 4. On 7th of January is Christmas Day of ordtodox christian church. Usualy all people going to church and stay at home with their families. 5. The Ester day is a christian church holiday. It has no a certain observance day. Christian people celebrat the Easter on sunday which floats on spring. We paint eggs and bake Easter cakes. 6. The happiest holiday in Russia is New Year. We decorate our houses. Also we bring into house a fir-tree or pine-tree, in Europe and USA they call it Christmas Tree, we call it New Year Tree.
