7 Write the essay (200-250 words) following this plan. Use
the phrases in exercise 4 and in exercise 4 on page 71 to

• Introduction Introduce the topic. Show that you understand
the title of the essay, and what the essay needs to cover,
• Middle paragraphs Give your own opinions, with
supporting statements and / or examples.
• Penultimate paragraph Give an opposing view, with a
supporting statement and / or example, followed by a
counter argument.
• Final paragraph Conclusion. Mention the opposing view,
and restate your own opinion.

I like to walk along the streets of my town with my parents or friends. Vologda is an ancient city.  There are a lot of museums, beautiful churches and nice buildings. My town is also full of wonderful parks and green zones. I love Vologda very much and I invite you to come and see my home town.
