1) A Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of CNC lathes. Most modern lathes are controlled with a computer. When a manufacturing company wants to create a part using a CNC lathe, the desired part must first be drafted using a computer aided design (CAD) program or a computer aided manufacturing (CAM) program. A CNC lathe operator then takes the design and downloads it to a CNC lathe, fits the right tools and then secures the workpiece into the lathe chuck. From there, the lathe automatically machines the piece to exactly what is shown in the design. 2) Jobs operating a CNC lathe are far more than just drafting a design, plugging it in and watching the lathe do its work. One of the most important parts of the entire process is making sure that the lathe tools are sharp. When they become dull, the operator needs to remove and replace the worn tools. 3) Along with occasional tool replacement, a CNC lathe operator also is responsible for keeping a close eye on the machining process, making sure that no problems arise and troubleshooting them when they do. Along with this, lathe operators also need to be able to remove and handle the machined parts. 4) Other duties of a CNC lathe machine operator include general maintenance of the machine itself. The operator should be reasonably familiar with the inner components of the lathe, so that he or she can make sure that the lathe is working properly and repair any problems without outside assistance. A CNC lathe operator also must have good hearing, because most lathe operators are required to monitor multiple lathes at once. For this reason, problems are often detected through sound alone.

A Film Star I Like

My favourite actor is Tom Cruise.

Tom is an American actor and producer. He was born in 1962 in Syracuse, New York. He started appearing in films in 1981 when he played a small part in the film "Endless Love".

Tom Cruise became famous after starring int such films as "Top Gun", "Rain Man", "A Few Good Men", "The Vampire Chronicles", "Mission: Impossible" and "Jerry Maguire". His recent films are "Jack Reacher" and "The Mummy". Most of his films are action films, thrillers, dramas and science-fiction films.

My favourite films with this actor are a "Mission: Impossible" film series where Tom plays a part of Ethan Hunt, a special agent of the Impossible Missions Force. The first film appeared in 1996 and the latest one was released in 2018. I like these films because their plot is always interesting and there are a lot of special effects and stunts in them. I admire Tom Cruise because he is a great actor and he always does his own stunts.

Mary: Hi Jeanne! Yes, I hear you quite well. How are you? Jeanne: I’m fine, thank you! And how are you? Mary: I’m also well, thanks! How’s the weather in Ottawa today? Jeanne: It’s a fine weather, but it’s a bit rainy. How about London? Is the weather good there? Mary: You know, as usual. It’s quite foggy and chilly. I wish it was summer. Jeanne: Yes, I remember. Marcos: I know, I’d like to come sometimes and visit you there, maybe even in winter, to experience real snowfalls. However, at the moment I miss hot summers of my homeland. Jeanne: I understand. Mary doesn’t seem to like the heat, though. She is planning to come to Canada in summer. Marcos: Yes, she is a real English person. She enjoys endless mists and humidity. I guess, she is just used to it. Anyway, I hope to get her visit Barcelona sometimes. She just doesn’t know what she’s missing. Mary: Don’t be silly, Marcos. I’m not going to this hell-fire. You know I can’t stand the heat at all. Jeanne: It’s worth trying, Marcos. Though, as far as I know Mary, she is not the kind of a person who loves the heat. Marcos: You’re right, Jeanne. That’s exactly what she’s just said to me. You know your friend better than me. I will definitely miss her in Barcelona. But that’s her choice. If I feel too lonely, then I’ll buy the tickets to Ottawa, I guess. Jeanne: Yes, that’s fine. I have enough space for both of you. So if you make up your mind, come also to Ottawa. I’m sure you’ll like the weather here because it isn’t as humid as in London and rains are also rare. And, most importantly, there is no smog here.
