She was a grandaughter of Queen Victoria.The coronation of Nicholas the second held on 26 in may 1896. The reigh of him took place in an atmosphere of growing revolutionary movements and difficult policy siteation. When in 1914 the first world war began Nicholas was the Commander in Chief. On the night of 17 in july 1918 Nicholas with his family was shot.
