A) PENEDA-GERÊS
A fantastic place to visit is Peneda-Gerês National Park in northern Portugal. There are lots of things to see and do in the park, but the best sights are the incredible waterfalls. You can find these cool, refreshing waterfalls all over the park. Take a photo, enjoy a relaxing swim in their pools or just take in the magic and mystery of these crystal clear falls as they flow down from the rocks.
B) LAURISSILVA FOREST
One of the most interesting places on the island of Madeira in Portugal is Laurissilva Forest. The government protects this area because of its many exotic plants and animals. This forest is a feast for the senses! You can see its unique species, smell its fragrant flowers and taste its delicious tropical fruit.
C) LAGOA DO FOGO
Lagoa do Fogo is a real treat! This area of San Miguel Island in the Portuguese Azores is a lake formed from a volcano that erupted a long time ago. There are bright, colourful plants and trees that cover the hills surrounding the lake, so that Lagoa do Fogo looks like a tropical paradise. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing day by the water, or climb to the top of the hills and enjoy the stunning views.
