Well yesterday was Thanksgiving and I had the good fortune of being invited to the house of a friend where a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner was prepared. So I was able to eat delicious food and good company and I had some good conversations all and all it was a very, very, very pleasant day. Though I did eat too much. Emily / Djibouti I was at school until 6 o'clock I think, 6pm, yeah. And, I got back home, I had my dinner, did my homework and I was actually chatting with a Chinese friend and she showed me a lot of Chinese movies and like famous people in China, and it was quite interesting. Nick / Australia Yesterday I went to work, I taught at school. I taught English at school and played sports with my kids. It was lots of fun. We have our sporting festival next week. So there's lots of preparation happening. Hoa / Vietnam What did I do yesterday? I had a part-time job yesterday, yeah, actually. And, I worked in a co-op in my university which is like a little cafeteria where they sell a lot of goods like sweets and books and everything else. And, I had work in the morning and in the evening I went out a little bit with my friends because my friend threw a party last night like a welcome party so I went there and met some new friends and enjoyed my time and just a relaxing day for a weekend. Jonathan / Canada What did I do yesterday? Well, it wasn't that different or special a day. I worked most of the day so I got up, took a shower and so on and went to work most of the day. In the evening I went to an international party, I met a friend of mine and met some new friends, had some good single malt scotch, some good conversation and went to sleep with a smile on my face. Demelza / Australia Yesterday I chilled out at my apartment and then I had some lunch in a nice restaurant in a shopping mall in town and after that I went to work. They were: Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Russian Literature, Chemistry, English, History of this country and many other subjects.
It was rather difficult to go to school when a school-leaver, we had so much to do.
I know that all the subjects are important and they all must be payed much attention to, but still I didn't like exact sciences.
I spent much time on doing them at home.
However hard I tried, all those formulas and definitions were
mixed up in my head and I couldn't make it out after all.
So I had nothing to do but sit for two or three hours swotting Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
My favourite subjects were Literature, History, English.
Most of all I liked English.
I read English books, tried to translate some stories from newspapers from English into Russian and vice versa.
I had some English handbooks and they were of great help to me when I studied English Grammar and did some exercises.
At our English lessons we read quite a lot of dull texts from our textbooks.
But in my view, written texts and textbooks are not important.
The best way to improve your language skills and habits is to work at a language laboratory.
But there was no good language laboratory at our school.
And I spent plenty of time at home listening to the tapes, imitating the sounds and intonations of the native speakers of English.
I was working hard at my pronunciation because my teacher said that it was my weak point.
Sometimes I spoke English with my friends after classes and they said I was making good progress in the language.
I decided to take my entrance exams to the Institute because I want to know English.
Nowadays, it's impossible to do without foreign languages because of expanding economic, cultural ties of this country with other countries of the world.
Besides, one can't be a learned and well-educated person if he doesn't know at least one foreign language.
As for me, I'd like to read English and American Literature, to understand it without resorting to anybody's help.

У меня были некоторые английские справочники, и они мне очень когда я изучал английскую грамматику и делал упражнения.
На уроках английского языка мы читали много скучных текстов из наших учебников.
Но, я думаю, письменные тексты и учебники не важны.
Лучший усовершенствовать языковые умения и навыки — это работать в языковой лаборатории.
Но в нашей школе не было хорошей лаборатории.
И я проводил много времени дома, слушая кассеты, подражая звукам и интонации носителей английского языка.
Я усердно работал над произношением, потому что мой учитель говорил, что это мое уязвимое место.
Иногда я говорил по-английски с моими друзьями после занятий, и они говорили, что я делаю успехи в английском.
Я решил сдавать вступительные экзамены в институт, потому что я хочу знать английский язык.
В наше время нельзя обойтись без иностранных языков из-за расширения экономических и культурных связей нашей страны с другими странами мира.

School classes always make me tired, so I often go for a walk with my friends after it. We can go to the park, to the cinema, to the stores just for a window-shopping. Sometimes we're going to the computer club to play computer games. My friends are fond of it. I'm fond of music, so after school I also have additional classes for playing guitar. It also helps me to relax. But sometimes when I have a bad mood after classes I go home and listen to my favourite music. Music helps me to relax and to forget about my bad mood. I also like to watch TV, especially different TV shows. Also I clean my room once a week. But after my rehab I have to do my homework. It's easier, when you've just had a rest and your mood is good. So, that's some part of my leasure time after the school classes.
