The Gagauz language is wide spread on the territory of Moldova (Gagauzia), in the Odessa region of Ukraine, as well as a small areas on the territory of the Central Asian republics of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The number of people speaking more than 160 thousand people. So, in Moldova according to the census of 2004 Gagauz was 4.4 % of the population is 147,5 thousand of them actually Gagauzia 127.8 thousand, people. My parents often ask me what I want to be when I grow or which profession I fancy. My answer is always the same. I want to be a writer. They are not happy with my choice but that’s what I want to do in my future. My father is a lawyer and he wants me to be like him. He says I’ve got all necessary traits of character to become a good lawyer. My mother is a designer and she thinks that I’ve got good taste to become a designer too. But I have always wanted to be a writer. As far as I remember I started writing when I was only 8. I wrote my first short poem then. When I was 10, our class teacher set us a special homework for summertime. We had to keep a summer diary and write in it what happened every day. Not everybody in the class was happy with this assignment. However, I really liked it. My diary was full of interesting events and it was chosen to be the best in the class. It was the time when I understood that I want to be a writer. After that summer I wrote many other diaries about my school life, my family and friends, my travels and picnics. At the moment I write articles for our school newspaper. Sometimes teachers ask me to write a poem or a script for school performances and my schoolmates ask me to help them with essays. People say I have an interesting style of writing and I don’t want to lose it. That’s why I think that I should be a writer. After graduating from school I’m going to study at the philological faculty of the local university. I’m sure higher education will be useful for me. There are also a lot of engaging workshops for writers. I’d like to attend one of them someday. Мои родители часто спрашивают меня, кем я хочу стать, когда вырасту или какая профессия мне симпатична. Мой ответ всегда один и тот же. Я хочу быть писателем. Они не одобряют мой выбор, но это то, чем я хочу заниматься в будущем. Мой отец юрист, и он хочет, чтобы я была такой же, как он. Он говорит, что у меня есть все необходимые черты характера, чтобы стать хорошим юристом. Моя мама – дизайнер и она думает, что у меня хороший вкус, чтобы также стать дизайнером. Но я всегда хотела быть писателем. Насколько я помню, я начал писать, когда мне было всего 8. Тогда я написала свое первое короткое стихотворение. Когда мне было 10, наш классный руководитель задал нам специальное домашнее задание на летний период. Мы должны были вести летний дневник и писать в нем то, что происходило каждый день. Не всех в классе порадовало это задание. Тем не менее, мне оно очень понравилось. Мой дневник был полон интересных событий, и он был избран лучшим в классе. Именно тогда я поняла, что хочу быть писателем. После этого лета я написала много других дневников о моей школьной жизни, моей семье и друзьях, моих путешествиях и отдыхе не природе. На данный момент я пишу статьи для нашей школьной газеты. Иногда учителя просят меня написать стихотворение или сценарий для школьных выступлений, а мои одноклассники просят меня им с написанием эссе. Люди говорят, что у меня интересный стиль письма, и я не хочу его терять. Вот почему я думаю, что я должна стать писателем. После окончания школы я собираюсь учиться на филологическом факультете в местном университете. Я уверена, что высшее образование будет полезным для меня. Существует также много увлекательных курсов для писателей. Я хотела бы как-нибудь принять участие в одном из них.
