SAVE THE ELEPHANT!
No animals are bigger than whales, but elephants are bigger than all other animals on the land. There are
elephants in India and Africa. Indian elephants are a bit smaller and thex.valse got smaller ears!
Elephants eat fruit and plants, and they love water. When they're drinking at a river, they often play in
the water! They live for about 50 to 60 years in the wild, and about 80 years in safari parks. Elephants
sometimes attack smaller animals or humans, but they aren't usually dangerous. Humans are a lot more
dangerous! People hunt and kill between 10,000 and 20,000 elephants every year. Many people think
elephants are interesting, intelligent animals, and they want to help them. At the moment, safari parks
and zoos are protecting some elephants. There are 90 elephants in British zoos!

Lyubertsy was first mentioned in 1621. Then there were only 9 yards in the village. Initially, the name was double - Libertsy - Nazarovo, according to the surnames of families living in nine courtyards. Subsequently, Ivan Gryazev became the owner of the entire village. He achieved special rights for his settlement, which led to the growth of the village, he built a church, but it was destroyed in the 30s of the XX century.

When Gryazev was gone, Lyubertsy changed hands. A powerful impetus to the development of the city was given by the railway track that appeared in the city. This road connected Moscow and Ryazan. In 1875, the first men's boarding school was opened, and later a women's school appeared. But only in 1925 Lyubertsy was given the status of a city.

Now 200 thousand people live in the city. There are several neighborhoods in the city that have their own names. The historical center of Krasnaya Gorka is located in the north of the city. New residential areas are being built around the city.

There are 25 factories operating in the city. Mainly metalworking and mechanical engineering. Because of the work of these enterprises, the city is considered the dirtiest in the Moscow region. But the city has its own attractions and interesting facts. Astronomers named an asteroid after the city. In 2011, a copy of the monument to Yuri Gagarin was installed in Britain.

As for the sights, they are also in the city. These include St. Nicholas Church. It was built in the XVII century. A lot of triangular shapes are used in architecture. In 1970, restoration took place, but the original appearance was not affected. The Peter and Paul Church, built in 1805, also belongs to religious attractions. To date, it has been restored and is working, services are underway in it. It is located not far from the forest, on a hill. There is a walking area near the temple.

The largest park in the city of Tomilinsky. It is a clean zone where locals recover after a hard working week. There are one hundred kinds of trees and more than one hundred and thirty kinds of herbs growing in it. The forest park was declared a natural monument.

There is a monument to Yuri Gagarin in the city. The name of this man is familiar to everyone. Lyubertsy are proud of their countryman, who made the first human flight into space.

Advantages of the Internet

1) The Internet is the largest source of information. Answer to any possible question can be found there. Apart from that, the Internet stores everything one might need. Books, movies, music, pictures, and so on.

2) The Internet is a good educational platform. Online education is not an uncommon thing anymore. Thanks to the Internet, people can choose both what to learn and where to learn. We can join a webinar or sign up for a course taught by a teacher from another country. Apart from that, the Internet is full of free courses and educational websites.

3) The Internet connects people. The Internet helps us stay in touch with other people. For example, we can use social networks to communicate with friends. We can find new friends through special websites. We can even call each other using Skype and similar programs.

4) To buy something you don't even have to leave your home. You can buy it on the Internet. Holidays, tickets, clothes, even food.

Disadvantages of the Internet

1) The abundance of all the information one can find on the Internet, sometimes makes it really difficult to find the right information. In this case, the best thing is to use reliable and official websites.

2) The Internet unites people, indeed. Unfortunately, some people spend too much time on social networks forgetting about face-to-face communication. Social networks and other online services will never replace communication in real life. That is why they should be used within reasonable limits.

3) When using the Internet, do not forget about safety. As there are people who work towards the Internet safety, there are people who work towards hacking into other people’s computers to steal their personal data.
