ROOTS Trees are the strongest plants in the world. It takes a lot of support to stop such a big structure falling over. The trees' roots spread deep underground and keep the tree standing upright. They are covered 2) very small hairs that suck up water and minerals from the ground. The main roots then take the water to the rest 3) the tree where it is used in photosynthesis. a CROWN The crown is the top part of a tree. It is made 4) of leaves and branches and performs several roles. It shades the roots from the sun and stops them from drying out. Summer Camp.We always try to change the environment for our holidays. Summer camp is a great way for kids to spend summer holidays. In the camp there are a lot of children from different cities of the country and this is a great way to meet new friends. Camps are usually situated in very nice places, such as sea coast, by lakes or in the mountains. So children can get fresh air, go swimming, do a lot of sport and many other activities.Camps can last for a few days, a week, or even a month depending on the program. Each has their own unique programs and activities.I go to summer camp every year after school is finished. I always spend a couple of weeks there, and try many different programs that have many different activities. I love having outdoor activities. We play sport games, learn to work in team and solve some puzzles. We sleep in tents or little houses, and need to learn how to make fire and cook food ourselves. Everyone have special tasks, and we have competitions between other groups to see who can do them faster, and with the best results.These skills have continued to be useful for me throughout my life, and I continue to use them.

Meet my family. There are five of us – my parents, my elder brother, my baby sister and me. First, meet my mum and dad, Jane and Michael. My mum enjoys reading and my dad enjoys playing chess with my brother Ken. My mum is slim and rather tall. She has long red hair and big brown eyes. She has a very pleasant smile and a soft voice. My mother is very kind and understanding. We are real friends. She is a housewife. As she has three children, she is always busy around the house. She takes care of my baby sister Meg, who is only three months old.
