But I would say for most people it is a family get-together. John: Is it? Mark: On New Year`s Eve our people stay in their homes, exchange good wishes, dance and sing. John: Evidently it`s pretty much the same everywhere with slight variations. We trim our Christmas trees. Tall Christmas trees are erected in town and city squares and at big stores. On New Year`s Eve we send good wishes to all our friends, even those who are most neglected during the rest of the year.
