Task 1. Point out Absolute Constructions in the following sentences and translate them accordingly. 1. The basic concept of radar being relatively simple, its practical implementation is not.
2. A radar operates by radiating electromagnetic energy and detecting the echo returned from reflecting objects (targets) (отражение).
3. The nature of the echo signal provides information about the target, the range (or distance) to the target being found from the time it takes for the radiated energy to travel to the target and back.
4. Resolution being sufficiently high, a radar can discern (рассмотреть) target's size and shape, radar resolution being
obtained in range or angle, or both.
5. Radar resolution may be in range or angle, range resolution requiring large antennas.

10. The transmitter power being radiated into space by a directive antenna, the latter immediately concentrates the energy into a narrow beam.

Task 2. Transform the given sentences into the sentences with the Nominative Absolute Participial Construction and the Prepositional Absolute Participial Construction

The pattern is:
The match being over, the players went home
She watched the game very attentively, with her eyes fixed on the sport ground.

1.The referee followed the competition very thoroughly. His attention was paid to the swimming pool.
2.He has won the world championship and the Olympic Games. He could be sure that he had no rivals in the coming competitions.
3.The court was clean. Now the match could be started.
4.A children's sport center was opened. After that much more children started going into different kinds of sports.
5.The game was over. There was no possibility now to even the score.
6.It has started to rain cats and dogs. Therefore, it was impossible to continue the football match.
7.The sportsman has hurt his knee and that's why he couldn't take part in the championship.
