My sports hero.
My sports hero is Lionel Messi. He was born in Rosario in Argentina on 24th June, 1987. He was good at football but he was very small. In 1998, at the age of 11, he went to Barcelona in Spain. He played his first match for FC (football club) Barcelona in 2004 at the age of 17.
Between 2004 and 2014, he played over 400 matches for his club. He won four FIFA Ballons d’Or. He has the world record for the most goals in one year (91). Before 2014 he won six leagues, two King’s Cups and three Champion Leagues with FC Barcelona. He played in the FIFA World Cups finals in 2006, 2010 and 2014. At the age of 24 he became FC Barcelona’s top scorer.
He still plays football and wants to win the World Cup with Argentina. I really admire Lionel Messi because he is great footballer.
