1. The tradition of giving gifts. It is present in every family and varies from the formal presentation of a gift to the transformation of this action into a ritual. There are families where gifts are prepared in advance, taking into account the wishes of the child, which has a positive effect — the child receives the gifts that he wanted. This makes the gift even more expensive for the birthday boy. To prolong the pleasure of receiving gifts, they are wrapped in beautiful paper and put in a certain place (children's room, living room). The child gets great pleasure from the process of unwrapping the gift, he makes guesses, trying to determine by touch what is hidden in the paper.
2.The tradition of home decoration. The obligatory attributes of this tradition were the decoration of the house with helium balloons of different colors and shapes, and, of course, the ball-the number of years that have passed. The balloons are delivered late in the evening, when the children are already asleep, although they know that the decoration with balloons happens every year, but they are always happy with them, as if for the first time.
3. The "Birthday cake" tradition. Here you can observe different approaches: in some families, the cake is baked by the mother, in others-the cake is ordered in a pastry shop. A birthday cake becomes a work of art — it is a whole composition: a combination of ingredients, colors, decorations. You can see cakes that reflect the interests of children: fairy tale characters, animal figures, etc. A mandatory attribute of this tradition is blowing out candles
We live in three-room flat. The room I like most of all is my bedroom. It belongs only to me. My room is small, but it is very cozy and bright. There isn’t much furniture in it, only the most necessary pieces. There is a bed on the right. Next to the bed there is a yellow nightstand. You can see a vase with flowers on my dresser.
On the left there is my desk where I do my homework. It has a lot of drawers where I keep my textbooks, notes, pens, pencils and other necessary things. Of course, I have a computer connected to Internet. On the right there is a sofa and a built-in wardrobe. In the right corner there is a comfortable armchair. Beside it stands a lamp with blue shade. I like to turn on the lamp, sit in the arm-chair and read an interesting book.
There are some shelves with books in my room. You can see Russian and English books there. There is a big thick carpet on the floor. There are some posters with my favourite singers on the wall.
I like my room very much. When my friends come to visit me, I invite them into my room. My room is a nice place for both rest and work.
