hold them melting in your hand.
lick your fingers as they numb.
hold your hands out to the wind.
let the rain run down your face.
step in every fairy ring.
hide in each enchanted place.
try to find an icicle.
put it in the microwave,
watch it turn into a pool
which the buzzer cannot save.
write your words upon the air.
see them curve and rhyme and scan.
make new patterns everywhere,
