Charles Dickens (1812 – 1870)
1) Charles Dickens was one of the most popular English novelists.
2) He was a weak child and did not like noisy games; he read a lot of books in the childhood. 3) When he was six years old the parents took him to the theatre. 4) He liked the play of Shakespeare so much so decided to write his own play. 5) After the play had been ready he performed it with his friends.
6) Then the family went to London. 7) The boy worked much because he had to help his parents. 8) He spent a lot of time in the famous library of the British Museum. 9) He got a good education in this way. 10) Later Dickens described his childhood in some novels.
