Summer is a fine season. The days in summer are long, the nights are short. The weather is fine. Sometimes it rains, sometimes it is hot.
Summer brings holidays to schoolchildren, they do not go to school. In summer some schoolchildren will go to summer camps, others will stay in town or in the villages.
Those who go to summer camps will have a good time. They will live near a forest or a river. They will go for walks in the forest, fish and swim in the river, play games, sit by the camp-fire in the evening and sing songs.
In the day-time they will help the collective farmers on the farms, in the fields and gardens.
Those who stay in town will help their parents, look after small children, read books, play games, go for walks in the parks, go to the cinema and theatre.
All the children are happy to have summer holidays.

Лето - прекрасное время года. Дни летом длинные, ночи короткие. Погода прекрасная. Иногда идут дожди, иногда жарко.
Лето приносит каникулы школьникам, они не ходят в школу. Летом некоторые школьники поедут в летние лагеря, другие останутся в городе или в селах.
Те, которые едут в летние лагеря, хорошо проведут время. Они будут жить возле леса или речки. Они будут ходить на прогулки в лес, ловить рыбу и купаться в речке, играть в игры, сидеть около лагерного костра вечером и петь песни.
Днем они будут колхозникам на фермах, на полях и в садах.

Firstly, while reading a book we visualize main characters in our way. Sometimes we cannot imagine various characters or surroundings where action takes place. In this case we cannot fully understand some writer’s ideas. 

Furthermore, it is amazing to see how director sees characters. There are lots of different nuances that we cannot find out while reading a book. When you watch Harry Potter and his friends on TV screen, his magic adventures become so wonderful that you cannot turn your eyes away from the action. 

On the other hand, some events are not showed in the film as it lasts only a few hours. In this case sometimes we can see just main actions so the story is not told us with detailed descriptions.

In conclusion, I think it is not bad to watch a film version of favourite books. We can really find out new qualities of characters and see at the plot in director’s way.
