Summer starts in June. Everything is active and gay in June. It is the first summer month. Days are long and nights are short in June. June is full of different flowers. The first berry- the strawberry appears in the forests and gardens. Baby birds grow and learn to fly. There are a lot of insects.

July is middle of the summer. It is often hot in July. The sun shines bright, the sky is clear and blue. Schoolchildren have a nice time in July. It is the second month of summer holidays. Schoolchildren go to the summer camps and live in tents, or they go to the sea with their parents. Many city children like to spend their summer in the country. July gives us different berries and vegetables. It is the month of haymakin.

August is also a summer month and it is the best part for summer vacation. August is the end of summer. It is very hot early in August, but the end of the month is not so hot. We do not hear the songs of birds, but we hear the concerts of insects: grasshoppers, crickets and other. Bird flock together and prepare to go to the south. August brings us fruit, berries, mushrooms. It is the month of harvesting.

Schoolchildren come back from summer camps and other places where they spent their vacation. They prepare to begin a new school year. It is not cold when you go to school. It is still warm in September, but it is not hot as it was in July and August. There are many nice warm days early in September. But nights are sometimes cold. On the 22nd of September the day is as long night. Forests, parks and gardens become yellow, brown, red. They look beautiful in the sun. Birds begin to leave for the South. Insects for hiding places. Animals are preparing food for the long winter months. People also prepare for winter.
