We live in the world full of technological devices of all sorts. One of the most popular devices is the computer and it is important to know hoe to use it.
First of all you need to know that a basic computer system has two components: hardware and software. Hardware means components that can be touched by your hand: a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse and a system unit with a motherboard, memory modules and a disk drive inside. Software means instructions, programs, data and protocols.
To start working you need to do the following:
1. Press the power button and let the computer boot up.
2. Left-click on the Start button in the bottom right corner of the screen. This will bring up a menu of programmes.
3. Choose a programme you need and click on it. To work with programmes you need to click different menus and enter text by typing it from the keyboard.
4. If you need to search for some information, open a browser and type your question, then click Enter and you will see the search results with links to web-pages.
5. When you finish using your computer, it is important that you shut it down properly. You need to make sure that all running programs are stopped. Otherwise you may lose important data. Then click on the Start button and click on "Shut down".
