The first U.S. President, known to all Americans, was a "Father of the nation" George Washington. George was born in Virginia in the family of a planter. When he was 11, his father died. The family had a lot of land but lacked the money to send George school in England, which went rich children at that time. The boy went to a private school and after 2 personal teacher taught him as a military and Virginia gentleman. George studied uzdeti on horseback, hunting, shooting and swimming. He hurried to new York, which was then the capital. April 30, 1789, a large crowd, he promised to preserve and defend the Constitution of the United States. It was when Washington was the first President and served two terms. He refused 3rd term and retired to mount Vernon, where he died two years later.

He studied reading books. Such as the Bible, Aesop's Fables and Robinson Crusoe. He often traveled far and wide to take the book in debt.
