Обенто или бенто -- одна из старейших кулинарных традиций Японии. В сущности,это обед,упакованный в коробочку. Обенто являются частью японского общества с 5 века,когда люди брали упакованный обед с собой на работу. С тех пор обенто стали очень популярны,и сейчас вы можете купить их почти везде: в театрах,аэропортах и даже на железнодорожных станциях.
Обенто обычно включает в себя четыре части риса,три части мяса или рыбы (жареной или приготовленной на гриле),две части овощей (солёных,варёных или приготовленных на пару) и одну часть фруктов. Он должен быть питательным и полезным,равно как и привлекательным. Часто вы можете увидеть еду в виде цветов,животных или иногда даже мультяшных героев! Мамы гордятся созданием школьных обенто для своих детей.
Детские сады чётко регулируют составление обенто. Еда должна быть легко употребляема палочками или пальцами,порции должны быть маленькими и приятными глазу. Также он должен включать в себя ту еду,которую ребёнок обычно не ест,чтобы он не привередничал.
