1) Great Britain's official name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (or UK for short).  

2) It is situated on the British Isles.

3) The UK consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

4) The total territory is over 244 thousand square kilometers. The population of the UK is over 67 million (as of Novemeber 2019).

There are many beautiful lakes in the mountainous part of the country. The best known of them is long narrow Loch Ness, legendary home of the famous monster.
