Every year in April the Dutch Flower Parade attracts millions of people from all over the world. The amazing floats travel a route from the beaches at Noordwijk to the city of Haarlem. The origins of this event took place in 1947, just after World War II and three years before the first opening of Keukenhof Flower Garden. Many hundreds of volunteers are busy for days before the parade with the piercing or pinning of thousands of hyacinths, tulips and daffodils to the floats. This event is a memorable experience for flower lovers from all over the world.
